There is no iota of truth in the story making the rounds that silent billionaire businessman, Capt. Hosa Okunbo is interested in the Edo State Gubernatorial race, an insider has revealed exclusively to The Boss.
According to the source, “there is nothing farther from the truth. Captain Hosa like you know is a quiet businessman who is happy with his contribution to the polity and national development and becoming Governor is certainly not on his agenda”.
We gathered that the news report which stated that All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has decided to back Capt. Hosa Okunbo over Governor Godwin Obaseki was a calculated attempted to cause disaffection between both men who are Bini.
According to the story, Comrade Oshiomhole and Okunbo had both gone on a night visit to APC Elders in the state with the intention to introduce him to them.
But our source insisted “That story is the work of mischief makers, don’t mind them at all”.
We gathered that Capt. Okunbo, the 61 year-old philanthropist, investor and businessman who has interests in Agriculture, Oil & Gas, Real Estate and hospitality among others, has been gravely disturbed since the story broke because he had long decided to shun politics and face his business.
